Accounting & Finance Operations Manager

In this role, you will be empowered to streamline our financial operations and enable scalable growth. You will work directly with the CEO and leadership team to help improve our operational efficiency and aid in key decisions. This role demands a smart, highly organized, and super-detailed individual.

You will have demonstrated success implementing accounting and financial processes with a software or technology-based company and bring your financial acumen, operational mindset, and strong communication skills to play a critical role across a growing team.

This role offers variety and professional development, here are some of the initial responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day treasury operations of company, which include maintaining banking/lender relationships, compliance with applicable lending agreements, accounts payable, and accounts receivable activities.
  • Manage and monitor all banking and credit accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems.
  • Lead month-end close process; issue timely and accurate financial statements.
  • Interpret and apply accounting policies, rules, and regulations to ensure compliance with applicable standards.
  • Prepare materials for management, board, and investor-level presentations.
  • Establish a budgeting process and manage the receipt and payment of all invoices, payments, and billing.
  • Implement a contract management process to streamline review, approval, and oversight of all client and vendor agreements.
  • Develop and enforce internal controls to maximize protection of company assets, policies, procedures, and workflow.
  • Establish financial and operating benchmarks, budgets, and program monitoring.
  • Manage timelines and deliverables across multiple projects.
  • Oversee tax planning, federal and state tax correspondence, and compliance.
  • Bring your creative thinking, curiosity, strategies, and ideas to advance our company’s values, culture, and vision for changing the healthcare and life science industries.

Required Skills And Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
  • 5 years of accounting and/or financial reporting experience. Experience with software licensing and subscription-based business models.
  • Experience with Quickbooks
  • Deep knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel - experience with complex formulas.
  • Experience contributing to distributed teams in a remote setting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present detailed analysis to stakeholders in an effective manner.
  • Strong desire to learn, push the envelope, and share knowledge with others.
  • Exceptionally well organized and reliable. Compulsion for detail with a focus on delivery.
